Week 1 :
During this first session you'll be introduced to how a sewing machine works, how to use it and taught basic skills such as sewing a straight line, finishing edges, sewing around corners and finishing a hem, you'll also leave this class having made an envelope cushion cover.
What you'll need to bring with you for this class:
Half a metre of fabric = 50cm x 110cm or 140 wide
50cm x 50cm cushion insert.
Week 2 :
In this weeks session you'll be taught how to read and use a sewing pattern, how to take your measurements to select the correct pattern size for you, mark and pin out your pattern onto your chosen fabric and cut it out, you'll also be shown how to construct and use a zig zag stitch to finish the edges to prevent fraying.
The sewing pattern will be provided.
What you'll need to bring with you for this class:
1 metre of cotton fabric measuring 150cm wide to make a short version or up 2.5 metres if you'd prefer to make the longer pyjamas.
Week 3 :
In the third session we'll be sewing it all together and finishing off the garment.
Course arrangements :
All sewing equipment will be provided. Fabric shears, small embroidery-type scissors for trimming and snipping threads, tape measure (cm), ruler, pins, chalk pencils/fabric marking pens.
Please bring with you a notebook and Pen to write down any notes you'd like to make.

The class will start promptly at the scheduled time so please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to settle
